Do you find that hiring or developing good Hispanic leaders to manage your workers is difficult?

It doesn’t need to be. Tap a resource hidden in your dairy: your key Hispanic employees. We call them “diamonds in the rough” because our leadership/ management training program enables them to shine. Through our training, they can become the strong, confident, results-oriented leaders and managers you want and need.

f your Hispanic employees are reluctant to accept more responsibility or to accept management/ leadership positions, they may be facing a cultural barrier. Our leadership and management training unlocks their leadership potential and will help them overcome those challenges. It’s called Developing Hispanic Leaders because that’s exactly what it does.

But, this is not training for entry-level employees. It is for:

  • Hispanic herdsmen
  • Head milkers
  • Parlor managers
  • Head feeders
  • Calf-raising supervisors
  • Any Hispanic workers that you have put in leadership positions

The training will:

  • Recognize your key Hispanic employees for exhibiting some leadership skills, skills already recognized by you. We will describe these skills and clarify how they can improve and use them better. We will demonstrate what you want, need and expect from them. In short, we’ll give them a better understanding of your Gringo dairy owner mentality and how they can better work with you.
  • Provide the management training they need to manage other workers. This includes how to organize work, how to train workers and how to use records to monitor results and maintain ongoing communication with you and their teams. They will learn how to better lead their fellow countrymen.
  • Provide some technical training in fresh cow management, milking management and calf management to be sure they have correct information needed to train and manage workers.

Together with my new colleague Gumaro Gonzalez, I will provide 1 ½ days of training en Español. No English is spoken. You are invited to a two hour session the morning of the first day…English only…to explain the agenda and give you an overview of the program. You will have a clear understanding of how you should use the training your key Hispanic leaders receive.

Dairy owners across the country have asked me how to encourage their Hispanic employees to become great leaders and managers. To help them and you, we have developed a new Leadership and Management Training session specifically for Hispanics. And, present it in Spanish only.

Our schedule is:

Day One – Morning 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
For owners only…English…overview of the program

Day One – Afternoon 1:00 PM – 4:30 PM
Leadership with an introduction to management

Day Two -- Morning 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Management principles

Day Two – Lunch 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM

Day Two – Afternoon
Technical Training and review 1:30 PM – 4:30 PM

In 1 ½ days, we lay the groundwork for you to advance your dairy. Over time, this training becomes even more valuable as your Hispanic leaders advance and help others to develop.
