DairyWorks Expands
Gumaro Gonzalez Joins as On-farm Trainer and Technical Specialist
DairyWorks recently expanded with the addition of Gumaro Gonzalez, a bilingual On-Farm Trainer and Technical Specialist. DairyWorks is the premier provider of practical management information for dairymen and dairy industry professionals.
Gonzalez will train dairy farm employees through formal training sessions and one-on-one on-farm and cow-side training activities. He uses the principles and practices developed through the DairyWorks Management System and works with dairy farm employees to improve their performance.
Gonzalez’s extensive dairy background provides useful insights. Born in Mexico, he has held and managed every position on large dairies. Gonzalez has experience working for several progressive California dairymen and successfully managed a 3,500 cow Midwestern dairy from startup through the first year. He also worked as a veterinary assistant for two years with a progressive veterinary practice.
Gonzalez understands the Hispanic culture and language, and appreciates the significant role of Hispanic workers at large dairies. He realizes how important improving the education and training of Hispanic employees is to efficient dairy production.
"Gumaro is a valuable addition to the DairyWorks staff," says Dr. Tom Fuhrmann, owner and founder of DairyWorks. “He has a passion for helping Hispanic dairy employees improve, truly understands how to motivate them and knows how to help them. In his new position, Gumaro will be positively impacting the day-to-day performance of both the dairy and its workers.”
For more than a decade, DairyWorks has been assisting dairy producers worldwide in advancing their business. It offers exclusive conferences, seminars, consulting and on-farm training. Among its most popular one-day seminars are Fresh Cow Management, Calving Management and Hospital Cow Management. Dairy managers find that DairyWorks on-farm training is especially effective for Milking Parlor Management and for Foot Trimming: Preventive and Lameness Control. All DairyWorks training is bilingual and effective in Spanish.
Founded in 1998, DairyWorks is headquartered in Glendale, AZ. For additional information, email dairyworks@aol.com or call (480) 831-6358. |
